The relevance of the study is that oral diseases not only affect the quality of life of patients, causing pain, discomfort and difficulty eating, but can also serve as an indicator of the progression of HIV infection and the development of AIDS. Moreover, the presence of oral pathology contributes to a decrease in overall health, increases the risk of systemic infections and negatively affects the effectiveness of antiretroviral therapy. In this regard, it becomes urgent to study the features of the course of oral diseases in HIV-infected people. The article analyzes the distinctive features of the course of diseases such as xerostomia, candidiasis, periodontitis, hyperpigmentation of the oral cavity and other pathologies that patients with HIV diagnosis may face. It is important that doctors be able to identify, diagnose and treat oral pathologies using clinical characteristics, etiological agents and risk factors, both local and systemic. In conclusion, it is concluded that oral health is closely related to physical and mental health, therefore, comprehensive care for these patients should include monitoring, identification and treatment of oral pathologies, which can be complex and diverse. An important role here is played by the psychological aspect and the need to eliminate barriers between a doctor and HIV-infected patients.
