The article is devoted to the consideration of problems and features of economic analysis of commercial banks. Commercial banks conduct internal and external economic analysis. Internal analysis is necessary to manage the activities of the bank, in particular, to justify the business plan, assess its implementation, to disclose the cause and effect relationships between the operations performed by the bank and the end result - formed liabilities and assets, as well as profit, to find reserves for possible increase in profits, assessment of the stability of the financial position of the bank, its solvency. External analysis is carried out by the bank from the moment of its creation and throughout the whole period of its functioning.
