Problems of mechanics of the 17th century as a source for the development of theoretical mechanics

At all times finding a solution to such practical problems as (causes, laws) description of the mo-tion of solids, planets, various mechanisms, conditions for the equilibrium of levers, systems of bodies, liquids were a very important aspect of Humanity's activity. The formulation of ever new and new practical and theoretical tasks that meet the needs of various stages of the development of society, the search for new ones and the improvement of already known methods for solving these problems is the main factor in the emergence and development of new scientific theories. The work shows the stages of the formation of modern theoretical mechanics in accordance with the content of actual problems.
