The title of the B. Pasternak’s verse “The Mirror” is a metaphor with a wide meaning. A metaphor in poetry of modernism has specialities to a classical metaphor. The metaphor of modernism has, as a rule, the many-leveled structure. The structure of the many-leveled metaphor, which is the title of the verse, and its influence on the interpretation of the text are revealed on the material of B. Pasternak’s verse “The Mirror”.
