Important reserve of economy of motor oils is the most complete lubricating properties. This can be achieved by purification of waste oils from various kinds of impurities accumulated in the oil at the time of its replacement. The choice of method of purification of waste oils depends on which impurities are accumulated in oil, some physico-chemical properties of the oils occurred in the process of exploitation of oil. The article is determined by the actual quality of waste oils and provides an evaluation of the possibility to re-use them. The purpose of this article is evaluation of the actual quality used oils, and re-use them. A survey of quality of used motor oil annually in the period from 2011 to 2015 in the different farms of the Omsk region. Samples were taken from tractors MTZ-80/82 when replacing the oil during the THEN-2. In determining the required number of samples confidence probability was set to 0.8 and based on this determined minimum number of samples, taking into account replicates - 72. These quality indicators engine oil, to evaluate their performance, were compared with those of culling and GOST 8581-78 - Oils for automotive diesel engines. The following conclusions: in used motor oils М10Г2 density is almost constant; the kinematic viscosity of the waste oil varies as upward and downward depending on the technical condition of the engine and working conditions; indicators of the presence of the additive in the oil to show its absence in the waste oil; the oil is heavily contaminated with mechanical impurities, water and fuel, but its chemical structure is not changed
