The legislative background of long-term facilities for senior citizens in Sweden, Finland, Hungary and Russia

After the Second World War the desire for better health care and social care systems became important to most of the developed countries. Thanks to this attitude the life expectancy at birth is getting higher and demographics of countries are changing. In the beginning of the 21st century ageing already has a deep impact on societies and will influence policy makers. Considering this fact, this study wants to analyze and compare four countries’ legislation of services for elderly. Sweden, Finland, Hungary and Russia will be on the spot to see the main characteristics of policies and to understand how these different countries and concepts can help each other to find better ways.
