Legislative registration of the repressive policy of the Soviet state

This article is devoted to the repressive policy of the Soviet state. The author singled out and examined the main stages of the formation of the legal basis for repressive policy in the USSR. The codification of Soviet law began at the end of 1918, in the conditions of foreign intervention and civil war, which caused the repressive nature of many legal provisions. The author notes that the policy of coercion worked out by Soviet Russia was a universal measure for the early resolution of the most complicated state problems.
