Legislative development the institute of punishment in the form of disclaimer after the October revolution (1918-1919)

The work reveals the main trends in the legal regulation by the Soviet legislator of the institution of punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty in the initial (four-year) period after the October Revolution. It is noted that the first acts were superficial, which is largely due to the lack of a criminal law. The Provisional Instruction “On deprivation of liberty as a measure of punishment, and on the procedure for serving it” (1918) and the Regulations on forced labor camps (1919) were of the greatest importance in this period. This and other acts together became the legal basis for subsequent criminal and corrective labor codes. Used earlier author's publications.
