Legislative sources which governed imposition of penalty that abridged an offender's freedom in common law of the East Slavs

The issues of the punishment origin that abridge an offender's freedom during the East Slavdom state formation are analysed. The author draws a conclusion that punishments connected with abridgement of an offender's freedom were not typical for the period of development of criminal law in east Slavdom covered in the article.
