Legislation on exemption from criminal liability in foreign countries of continental Europe

The article discusses the provisions of the criminal law of some European states concerning exemption from criminal liability, the grounds for exemption and the procedure for applying the rules on exemption from criminal liability. The norms of the criminal law of Germany, France, Spain, Poland are analyzed in order to get an idea of how exemption from criminal liability occurs in foreign countries based on the analysis of international legal norms and thereby be able to propose measures to improve the institution of exemption from criminal liability in the current criminal legislation of Russia.
