Regularities of ureases profile distribution in ordinary chernozem in agrocenosis

The article studies the profile distribution of urease activity within the humus horizon of ordinary chernozem. There is a low activity of urease in the arable layer compared with the rest of the humus horizon. An inverse correlation was found between the activity of urease and the content of ammonium and nitrate nitrogen, as well as a close positive relationship between urease activity and soil moisture.
