Employment of persons of retirement age: supply and demand in the Russian labor market

The article deals with employment in the Russian labor market in the context of the policy of active longevity. The results of the present study is an effort to respond to the two current at the date of issue. First, how much the labor market is interested in the elderly, and, secondly, whether it has the ability to increase the number of workers at their expense. The article presents a review of sociological studies of factors and incentives for employment of persons who have reached retirement age. On the basis of this review, a scheme for the formation of labor activity of persons of retirement age, taking into account the impact of supply and demand on the labor market, as well as the implementation of state measures to stimulate the employment of pensioners, is formulated. To answer these questions, the study developed an approach that involves identifying the nature and strength of the relationship between the level of employment of the population of retirement age and its factors based on the construction of correlation matrices.
