Employment of the population as an expression of the regional labor market

The article is devoted to the analysis of approaches of various schools and directions to the problems of employment of the population and the labor market, reflects the point of view of domestic and foreign scientists to the concept of «labor», «employment of the population», «labor market». The author clarified the notion that employment of the population is an expression of the conjuncture of the regional labor market and involves the study of demand, supply of labor, as well as natural-geographical, socio-economic, legal, demographic and other factors that affect its balance and make it possible to draw a conclusion about the priority in the choice of methods in the implementation of regional policy of regulation of employment of the population.
