Spinal cord diastasis filling under partial limitation of the spine mobility with the Ilizarov fixator

9 animals were subjected to spinal cord hemisection at the level of L4 and further fixation of the lumbar spine experimentally using the Ilizarov fixator. It was established that mediated limitation of the mobility of the zone involved positively influenced reparative process and recovery of the functions lost. Size decrease of the diastasis, its filling mainly with organ-specific tissue was noted. Formation of loose-structure scar could be observed with a lot of nerve fibers in the lateral part, the diastasis medial part was filled with nerve tissue elements.
