The article proposes a methodology for assessing the efficiency of electric charging stations (ECS). The modeling of the operation of an electric charging station (ECS) with one and two channels for transmitting electric energy (EE) to the traction batteries of electric vehicles is performed. Depending on the intensity of requests received at the charging terminal (CT), the values of the following indicators are set: the probability of service refusal when the need for the service arises, the time it takes to put an electric WTV on charge, and the number of occupied charging connectors. The parameter of the waiting time for connecting an electric vehicle to a charging station is proposed as a criterion for assessing the operation of the charging network. As a result of the calculations, graphical dependencies are obtained that allow checking the previously established values of the minimum required number of ECS for a specific locality under the condition of an acceptable waiting time for connecting an electric vehicle to the terminal of no more than 20 minutes. The application of the proposed probabilistic approach to assessing the obtained calculated values of the number of charging equipment fleet is considered using the example of the city of Vladimir.
