The agents of dry rot of heads (Rhizopus spp.), fusarium (Fusarium spp.), Alternaria blight (Alternaria spp.) are causing considerable harm to sowing qualities of sunflower seeds. In 2007-2008 these diseases were referred as the most wide-spread diseases, especially in the north and central agroclimatic zones of the Krasnodar region. By means of phyto examination, it was determined that 3.0-11.0% of seeds are the carrier of the infections of fusarium agents, 7.8-32.4% of seeds are the carrier of Alternaria, and up to 4.3.% of seeds are the carrier of dry rot. 10 fungicides and 4 insecticides in composition with agrochemicals were tested as the protective agents against diseases and sunflower pests. The tank mixtures, including fungicides (falcon, panoktin), insecticides (aktellic, cruiser) and agrochemicals (MiBAS and silk) were the most efficient.
