A comparative analysis of legal sources traces the evolution of the idea of human rights and the mechanism for its implementation in international law. The normative basis of the idea of human rights was laid by the declarations and constitutions of the United States and France of the XVIII century, unified and modernized in the UN documents. The formation of human rights as a separate sphere of international law, the systematization and generalization of this sphere occurred with the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.
