Protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens against unemployment in practice of constitutional proceedings

The article presents an analysis of the number of economically active population, including by type of economic activity in the whole country and by federal districts. The authors conclude that this number is reducing in working age, which adversely affects the socio-economic situation in the society. To ensure the implementation of constitutional guarantees and the right to protection against unemployment (part 3 of article 37 of the Constitution), the Constitutional Court in its ruling obliges the State to develop and implement a variety of measures aimed at protection against unemployment. The authors attempt to analyze the reasons for the rise in unemployment in the modern period, and identify gaps in law enforcement and legislative activities in the field of labor relations through the analysis of judgments of the Constitutional Court.
