Protection of family on the agenda of the international community

The article analyses the efforts taken at international and national level to afford family protection. Special attention is given to the analyses of the provisions of international human rights treaties devoted to the issues related to family as well as the practice of their control mechanisms - human rights treaty bodies - on the interpretation of obligations of States in this sphere. The author concludes that there is a necessity to exchange the best practices in the area of elaboration of family policy at international, regional and national levels in order to guarantee the progress in strengthening the obligations of States in this field. In this relation a positive example for States could be Conception of State family policy in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025 which was adopted in 2014.
