Protection of information in the field of operational search activities from possible disclosure

The article considers the expediency of introducing a new Article into the Federal Law «On Operational Search Activities», which regulates the issues of protecting information in the field of operational search activities from possible disclosure. In this regard, the author compares and examines the provisions of the law contained in the two final Articles of the Chapter «Conducting Operational Search Activities», notes the shortcomings identified in them, suggests the optimal, in the author’s opinion, way out of the current situation, and formulates edited norms regulating the protection of information about operational search activities from publicity.
