Currently, the most common and harmful diseases on sunflower in the Krasnodar region are charcoal rot, Fusa-rium, Alternaria, and Phomopsis. Losses of seeds quality are caused by Alternaria, Fusarium and Rhizopus pathogens. Pests of sunflower sowings are usually presented by wireworms, as for adult plants - by phytophagous bugs. Focused control of certain diseases and pests with the correct choice of disinfectants is provided only in case of presence of the results of presowing phytoexamination of seeds and results of soil excavations revealing the pres-ence of soil-borne pests.
