Civil defense defenses in the Russian Federation

The article reveals the concept of «civil defense defenses», emphasizes the importance of civil defense defenses in the field of population protection. It also describes the regulatory framework for the use of protective structures in peacetime, while preserving the possibility of their use for their intended purpose in case of emergency, their departmental affiliation. The right to give opinions on the terms of leasing of civil defense facilities is granted exclusively to the General Directorate for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations. A list of recommendations is given that allow in the new economic conditions to achieve the highest quality maintenance and preservation of protective structures, since the failure of such expensive structures can significantly negatively affect the degree of protection of the population and personnel of various facilities in an emergency situation.
