Blunted axisymmetric body with a minimal resistance in the hypersonic rarefied gas flow

We calculate for a rotational body with the degree of the generatrix, the resistive force in the hypersonic rarefied gas flow using several local models. The order of the generatrix of a body with a minimal resistance and the blunted radius depending on the elongation in a wide range of Reynolds numbers are determined by solving the variational problem.
