Investigation of polymer mixtures is performed with the aim of obtaining materials with specific physical and chemical properties, and optimizing the processes of their production, thus reducing the cost of the final product. Features of such mixtures can be predicted using appropriate models based on the notions of compatibility and interaction of mixture components. In recent years the mixtures of polyethylene terephthalate/polybutylene terephthalate are of particular interest. The structural changes of blend poly(ethylene terephthalate)/poly(butylene terephthalate), caused by blend cooling from a melt rate variation within the wide limits, have been studied. It has been shown that these changes are realized for both crystalline and amorphous phases and on all structural levels: molecular, topological and suprasegmental ones. All indicated changes are interconnected closely between themselves. Thus, the results of this work demonstrated that changing the cooling rate from the melt amorphous-crystalline mixture modifies not only the crystal structure but also the entire structure of the mixture as a whole.
