“There is no end to possibilities, there is a great future here”: the visiting session of the Department of Historical Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences in Vladivostok (1956)

The article deals with the history of organization and conducting of the joint visiting session of the Department of Historical Sciences (USSR Academy of Sciences) and the Far Eastern Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences in Vladivostok in 1956. This important event became both an example of intensifying attention to the development of historical research in the Soviet Far East and a solid factor contributing to its successful development.
