Amphibians (Amphibia) of the Saratov region: history, status and prospects of research

The data on the history of studying the fauna and ecology of amphibians of the Saratov region are presented. Currently, the taxonomic composition of Amphibia includes 11 species. Data on the habitat of grass, edible and pond frogs, as well as two species of tailed amphibians, are considered. Research is needed on the distribution of green frogs in the region, as well as trophic relationships and parasitofauna of amphibians.
