Women-officials in the legislative bodies of the Far Eastern federal district

The problem of gender imbalance in Russian political practice is currently one of the most relevant. The representation of women in legislative bodies is far from the indicators that would allow conclusions to be drawn about a gender-oriented approach in politics. Practically in all documents of state policy regarding women, it is stated that the share of women's political representation and their participation in the activities of representative bodies of state power remains very low, and as one of the key directions of state activity, "providing opportunities to increase women's representation in legislative and executive bodies at all levels and in local self-government bodies" is considered.
