Little is known about the costume of Caucasian peoples in antiquity.Investigation of bronze anthropomorphic sculpture of the Caucasus is a valuable sourcefor studying garments and personal decorations worn by the people in the Late Bronze andEarly Iron ages. The headdresses shown on the figurines are divided into three major groups:man's, woman's, and universal ones. Five types of woman's and universal headdresses aresingled out: veils, caps, transversal, lengthwise, and L-shaped ones (Tab. 1). In some casescertain evolution of the discussed costume details was traced.
