The Women's Pedagogical Institute was actively developing. This was the result of the organizational work of its director, S. F. Platonov, with the full support of the Honorary Trustee, V. kn. Konstantin Konstantinovich. Many issues of financing, creating a material base, equipping classrooms, and approving rates, including professorships, were successfully resolved in the highest offices. Every year, several hundred well-trained teachers left the walls of the institute and the Konstantinovskaya Gymnasium, who quickly filled vacancies in different regions of the empire. It touches on many aspects of the daily life of the Institute, the fate of many teachers and the functioning of the Institute during the war years. The published materials are an excellent source on the activities of the SPI, on the relationship between S. F. Platonov and the august representative of the Dynasty, a proponent of the development of the education system, and in particular women's education.
