This article is devoted to the problems of the existence of potential victims of crimes and other offenses in modern Russia. From the point of view of the correlation of such subjects of law as a person and the state, an attempt was made in the work to justify the need for closer state attention to protecting the rights of the victim and those potentially potentially in the role of such.
