Victims of criminal raiding in Russia

In the Russian Federation, profitable enterprises are always at risk of being forcibly alienated in favor of interested parties - raiders. Any actively developing and profitable business can attract the attention of raiders, and most often it happens to those that have vulnerabilities. The article presents the results of the research on who is a potential victim of criminal raiding, as well as which enterprises are attractive for raiders. General signs of a potential raider attack on an enterprise are given. Types of raider seizures depending on the degree of legality are singled out. Preventive measures to protect an enterprise from a potential seizure are proposed. The authors conclude that potential victims can protect themselves from a possible raider threat by applying preventive measures of business protection, timely elimination of the company’s weaknesses.
