This paper discusses the features of creating a dynamic portrait of a "little man." Heroes belonging to this type of heroes of Russian literature are interesting from the point of view of the features of a gesture portrait. The dynamic portrait of the “little man” includes the visual characteristic “embarrassed”/“embarrassed”. Silent voice/“mumble” as a characteristic of speech will be mandatory. Also, a typical feature for the "little man" can be considered the slowness of movements as a result of the experienced shocks, expressed by the characteristic of the movement of the heroes "wandered"/"entangled."In this regard, the gesture portrait of Raskolnikov confirms his image as the embodiment of an atypical “little man”: Raskolnikov is embarrassed pretense, moves swiftly, does not speak quietly with others, but rather, loudly and sharply. Raskolnikov is also characterized by loud laughter that distinguishes him from "little people", as well as tears and "life of the heart."
