The life of plague doctors and their contribution to the development of medieval medicine

The article is devoted to the history of the development of medicine in the late Middle Ages, focusing on one of the most significant events in the history of Western Europe - the second plague pandemic. The work presents not only possible natural foci of the disease, ways of its spread, but also the unique figure of the plague doctor.
