Persons with drug dependence is characterized by disappointment in past life events, shame for the events, and an appeal to the memories of the past. The system senses meaningful life is the conviction that life goes on, life plans are not feasible, life is not subject to personal control. The predominant hedonistic meaning of life, the desire to produce momentary pleasure, avoidance of problem-solving, decision-life the way it is. Priority position occupied status meanings, not actualized the need to achieve a higher status position.
