Psychological examination was conducted in 130 specialists of the Federal Firefighting Service (FFS), St. Petersburg. The following methods were used: Package for Assessment of Personality Aspirations (PAPA) by R. Emmons, Technique for Assessing Objectives and Aspirations (TAOA) by S. A. Bogomaz, Tomsk Checklist for Rigidity by G. V. Zalevsky (TCRZ), viability test and test for purpose-of-life orientations by D. A. Leontev. It was revealed that formation of specific life objectives facilitates high life awareness and general vitality in firefighters.
