Presented are results of the study of hardiness and accumulated life stress (negative life events) in two groups of women -aged 17,28+1,30 years and 67,76+6,50 years. General number of respondents was 86. Older age women have expectedly reported 1,5 times more negative life events. Among them general hardiness also was slightly higher (10%, as a tendency). Other components of hardiness like control and challenge almost did not differ, while commitment was substantially higher (confirmed statistically). Results obtained testify of higher informative power of commitment which may be associated with growing eudemonic component in older women.
