This article analyzes the role of assessing the mental state of a vehicle driver as a participant in a traffic accident to further identify the degree of culpability in the legal sense. Special attention in the work is focused on the goals and objectives of the psychophysiological examination, on the features of the appointment and its role in the proceedings.
