The article shows the role of legal terminology. The special attention is drawn to the use of legal terminology in legislation’s criminal branches. The need to meet certain requirements in the use of legal terms is noted. The importance of respecting constitutional norms in drafting federal laws is indicated. The purpose: to designate the place of legal terminology in criminal law branches of legislation, to reveal the role of constitutional terminology for the introduction of new terms in sectoral legislation.
