Value of language finiteness for linguistic ideology of text corpora: language as space

The article considers (in)fmite nature of language as metaphoric space, as applicable to linguistic justification of the feasibility of text corpus as a representative model of the language, of justifiability of the attempts to establish a global content management system. The nature of apparent contradiction between the representation of infinite language and evidently finite corpus/content “cloud” is analyzed. A method to overcome this contradiction is offered by means of applying geometric spatial categories of (in)finiteness to natural language.
