The problem of hazardous impact of suspended particles in the vicinity of highways is connected with air pollution by vehicle emissions and their impact on human health and the environment. A comprehensive approach to solving this problem should include not only technological innovations in the automotive industry and road construction, but also competent forecasting of the impact of emissions. In this regard, this article analyzes the methodology for forecasting the impact of suspended particles in the vicinity of a highway, taking into account their chemical composition. As a result, effective approaches to the development of methods for forecasting the impact of suspended particles were identified.
