The importance of therapeutic physical education in sports and recreation events

The article is aimed at studying the role of therapeutic physical culture in the context of human sports and recreational activities. Sports orientation is the most important means of development of the individual and the body. The purpose of the work is to establish the relationship between the concepts of «therapeutic physical education» and «sports and recreational activities». The theoretical and methodological foundations of physical therapy, its means and methods are considered. Special exercises for various diseases are studied. The article concludes that in exercise therapy classes a person’s conscious attitude towards his health and condition is formed.
