The text of the article presents experimental data on the importance of the musical accompaniment of movements in physical education. In actuality emphasizes the importance of pedagogically organized a musical environment for raising children with developmental disabilities. The author refers to numerous studies in this area. On the basis of generalization of experimental data highlights the main features of music. As an important structural elements identified musical rhythm and the semantic content of music. The text of the article the research data indicating the possibility of developing a musical rhythm. Revealed its positive impact on the neuromuscular system of children with mental retardation. Also, the results indicating that, in the musical-rhythmic motor activity in children of correctional groups more effectively develop physical qualities.
