Importance of protected areas in Jewish autonomous region for preservation of rare species of vascular plants

In the article, the author gives a brief history of compiling the Red book for the plants growing in Jewish Autonomous Region. The ecology-cenosis characteristics of protected species of vessel plants is provided, as well as the analysis of their distribution all over the especially protected reserves in the region, and in various vegetable associations. In the protected territories, some species of rare plants new for the region have been discovered. The author offers some recommendations on their protection.
