The importance of illegality under Russian law in the context of expanding the boundaries of understanding tort

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of illegality within the framework of Russian legislation and its impact on the evolution of the understanding of tort. The author emphasizes the importance of an accurate classification of offenses in order to establish the civil liability of the perpetrators. The paper also examines the actual problem of differentiating the grounds of liability under contracts and non-contractual obligations. This article proposes to amend the current Civil Code of the Russian Federation, aimed at a deeper understanding of the concept of illegality in the framework of civil law torts.
