Practice shows that physics teachers are faced with methodological difficulties in organization of physical experiment as part of school physical education modernization. At the same time, physical experiment is one of the leading methods of school physics course, acting as a visual teaching method, and as a source of knowledge. There is a contradiction between the importance of school physical experiment in teaching physics and lack of teachers’ proficiency in methods of self study for students. To overcome this problem school physical experiment should be organized in terms of systematic and activity-based approach by means of tasks activating students’ independent work. Regular work on the experiment at home, development and construction of simple physical instruments and devices functioning on the basis of physical phenomena and laws, experimental tests contribute to creative independence of students.
