The importance of special economic zones in the regional development strategy

This article discusses the possibilities of using special economic zones as a means of improving the overall economic condition of the region and a way to implement the national development strategy. The principles of formation, assessment and requirements for the use of special economic zones are considered using a practical example. The structure and diversity of assessing the effectiveness of special economic zones by their type, meeting public needs, as well as ensuring the fulfillment of the goals of the national development strategy are given.
