In recent years, a large number of publications is devoted to the study of the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis. The autoimmune aspects of this disease are studied quite well, but at the same time they do not fully reveal the mechanisms of neurodegeneration leading to the almost inevitable disability of patients. The authors present the results of their own research into the structural and functional state of membranes in 84 patients with multiple sclerosis, on the basis of which it was concluded that membrane pathological processes are important in the pathogenesis of the disease
