Knowledge and information: dissonances and contradictions

The article examines the problem of the contradictory relationship of knowledge and information as the main categories of the theory of knowledge, epistemology and cohitology. The article analyses specificity of their existence and functioning in various aspects and areas of being. Dissonances and contradictions of knowledge and information are considered in the ontological, cognitive, personal, psychological and socio-cultural aspects. The article describes various consequences and tendencies of informatization and virtualization of modern education and the main spheres of social life.
