The golden rule of fiscal stability in Europe

The article analyses the reason for the dispute over the introduction of the golden rule of state finances in the euro-zone and reveals the difference between the reformed Stability and Growth Pact and the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance signed in March 2012. It shows a strong positive dependence of the growth of debt load on the deterioration of account balance of the structural budget in the euro-zone.
