The article explores the invective and euphemistic potential of gender zoomorphic metaphor. The article analyzes the origin and functioning of gender zoomorphic metaphor from the prospective of the terror management theory, and interprets it as a way to mitigate «the evidence of death» by expressing verbal aggression or veiling negative information.
